The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.
— Psalm 19:1
Do you not fear Me? declares the LORD. Do you not tremble before Me? I placed the sand as the boundary for the sea, a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass; though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; though they roar, they cannot pass over it.
— Jeremiah 5:22
Yet He did not leave Himself without witness, for He did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”
— Acts 14:17
24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,
25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.
26 And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,
27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us,
28 for “‘In Him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed His offspring.’— Acts 17:24-28
Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.
The invisible God is visible through His own creation. God’s self-revelation in nature is always available to everybody, everywhere. God is Spirit, unseen by human vision. However, creation reveals God’s existence
While the nature does not reveal everything we need to know about God, all people can see God’s “eternal power” and His “divine nature” through creation. The sparkling night sky testifies to God’s powerful orchestration of the orbiting cosmos. He sets the seas’ boundaries despite their raging tempests? The sun’s pulsing radiance and an atom’s pent-up energy hint at the scope of God’s eternal power.
Creation also reveals God’s divine nature. God is sovereign, holy and omniscient. God is sovereign, holy, and omniscient. Nature reveals other attributes of God’s divine nature. In kindness, God orders rain and seasons that produce crops to feed the earth’s inhabitants. God’s creation declares His breathtaking beauty in a sunset, rainbow, bird’s song, or majestic mountain. As the source of all life, God gives breath to every person, determining when and where they will live so they might “seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him.”
