Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

While being exiled at Babylon with his fellow Israelites, Daniel, remaining his trust of God, saw visions of future events far beyond his years of faithful service. Like Daniel, as God’s people, only when we hold on tight God’s recorded Word, can we remain confident that God will accomplish His ultimate purposes in our world. We can be confident that no human obstacle or demonic force can alter what God ordains.

Through humbly reading the Bible we realize and appreciate the fact that no matter how we feel or what we see, God remains with His people – never absent or uninvolved in human affairs. Our study of the Scripture infuses us with God’s life-changing truth and confident hope in Him. God’s Word reveals His enduring faithfulness and calls us to faith-filled action. The God who speaks to us invites us to listen and obey what He commands. Let’s faithfully read God’s Word and carefully listen to His speaking to us through His written words in order we know how to obey God.
