Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

Our true, living and faithful God does speak to and attentively listen to His children’s talking to one another and write down their talking. There is an amazing passage from Malachi 3:16 that shows us He longs for the obedience from His responsive children. It highlights that God intimately notices and records the conversations of those who honor Him. It reassures believers that even when faithfulness goes unrewarded by the world, God remembers their devotion and considers them His treasured possession.

Over the history God spoke through His prophets and He still speaks to people today. He not only actively entered Israel’s somewhat disappointing story but pursues our wandering hearts with the same passion today. God has revealed enough about His character and attributes through His creation to leave all people without excuse for ignoring or rejecting Him. However, God speaks to us through the Bible – His Word as His Spirit unlocks our minds to understand God and His heart.
