Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

Words indeed matter. Written, spoken, or heard, words all carry weight. We memorize words in Scripture, songs, and poetry. Words carry power. Once spoken, words cannot be taken back. A spoken promise brings hope. Words of warning invite caution. Harsh, argumentative words of attack bring pain. We often replay in our minds important words we have heard.

Our God has also been speaking words to human beings. God speaks to believers’ hearts through His Holy Spirit and His written Word. God’s Word guides our way, offering us truth and life. And ultimately Jesus Himself, the expression of God and God’s glory, the Word made flesh, came to earth for us. God Himself stepped into our human experience. This proves God’s deep love for us. Because He became human, we have a Savior who truly understands our struggles, and He made the ultimate way for us to be forgiven.
