Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.
Zechariah 14:9 boldly declares, “The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.” God must awaken our dead hearts and deceived minds to comprehend who He is. When we look at Christ, we recognize our own sin and the powerful redemption He has accomplished for saving us. Christ’s cleansing us from sin, impurity, idolatry, and every other worthless thing
addresses our core identity, restores our relationship with God, and frees us from the tyranny of Satan’s false and empty promises. Praise the Lord f that this renewed vision reshapes every aspect of human living.
We can acknowledge that while we walk through this crippled world, we are firmly gripped by eternity’s Savior and King. He holds us fast and carries us through. And one day, we will dwell with Him forever, freed from the curse of sin and death and able to praise Him as He deserves. Jesus Christ the one Lord and only name should capture our passion. Aligning our lives with eternity’s posture represents true wisdom. Until Jesus comes to reign as He deserves, we offer Him ourselves. Hallelujah! The Lord God Almighty reigns!
