Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.
Without understanding the harmony and victory Christ will bring to earth, the present day society’s trajectory seems rather dismal to us. Knowing that Christ will reign, abolish Satan’s strongholds, and bring peace to His people offers us hope. To ignore Christ’s promise and rightful authority to reign and rule results in a limited view of God’s revealed plan for humanity. Without grasping what God has revealed about the future, today and tomorrow seem haphazard and God’s role and involvement feel distant at best.
Understanding God’s plan to end strife and bring justice offers believers hope as we process the chaos that surrounds us. Living with promises that are not yet fulfilled but still certain grants us needed perspective. God has told us enough about the future to establish our focus on His promised victory. Even without full insight into when and how these things will come to pass, we can rest assured that God will accomplish everything He has promised. We can trust God with what we know and what we cannot fully comprehend. God will deliver what we long for.
