For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
— Jeremiah 29:11
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.
— Psalm 147:5
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you— 1 Peter 1:3-4
If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.
We probably won’t feel comfortable in the middle of an unresolved situation. In the entertainment world, life’s problems are typically settled within 30 minutes or a handful of episodes. Life in the real world is not so simple. The past can be troubling, the present confusing, and the future uncertain. Though much remains unresolved, God reveals enough in His Word about the future to offer hope for today. God’s plan is not stagnant but on the move. What remains unresolved will indeed be resolved in God’s time and according to His sovereign plan. We crave that certainty amid the uncertainty.
There are times when we are stalled by hardship, in faith we still have the assurance that God’s watchful care and unstoppable divine plan are still working for our good. The certainty of God’s eternal plan offers perspective on what appears murky. God will deal graciously with His people and rightly with those who oppose Him. God will judge sinners, abolish evil, and reign without rival. We will do well to fix our eyes on the prize at the end of our struggles – God’s ultimate victory.
