Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

God’s overruling sovereignty towers over the universe He created. God is everywhere and knows everything. Nothing exists outside His control. Honoring God’s presence and power helps us discern His will. God is above us in every way. Trust Him. We gain clarity of His will for our lives when we invest in our relationship with Him through personal time in His Word, prayer, and worship.

Daniel, though a prophet in exile, honored God and faithfully spent intentional and consistent time with God. When life’s circumstances became threatening or murky, Daniel trusted in God’s words, His will, and His ways. What Daniel knew to be true about God impacted the way he faced life and emboldened him to live by faith. When we know God is with us, God knows us, and God has a plan for each one of us through reading His Word and an intimate relationship with Him, we are His witnesses and we magnify Christ and God’s mighty name in this world!
