Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.
Israel’s, as well as our, history and future do not point to men’s worthiness but to God’s faithfulness. In history, Israelites faced dismal times when hope seemed lost. We sometimes find ourselves similarly weighed down and struggling to move forward. However, God continues to work despite our failings. The prophets’ messages recorded in the Old Testament still ring true now.
Today, Jews and Gentiles alike look to Jesus for salvation. Let us all recognize beyond all doubt that God has uplifted and made His Son Jesus who was despised, rejected, and crucified by men both Lord and Christ. God has provided the world no alternative for salvation. There is salvation in no one else other than Jesus by whose name people could be saved. In eternity, all God’s children will fully grasp and eternally praise our glorious God and exalted Jesus our Savior. May the Lord open our eyes to God’s unlimited power, rightful authority, and abiding presence!
