3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.
4 ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.”— Revelation 21:3-4

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.
For God’s children, the hope of heaven puts daily life in this world into perspective. The reality of eternal life – living free from sin in God’s undiminished presence – defies human description but instills confidence this world cannot steal away. Jesus saved us not to muddle through life with sporadic victory but to reign with Him forever. When life is hard and sin’s grip seems daunting, we can stand for Christ even as our hearts long for heaven, our eternal home.
Only when we believers see God’s unveiled glory and worship Him face-to-face will we experience the full joy God has planned for them. Our purpose will be finally and fully complete when we are bathed in His holy love forever, without the threat of sin and sting of death. This can only happen in heaven, where sin will be removed and every tear wiped away. God’s people will perfectly reflect the image of their Creator.
