Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

The unspeakable privilege of knowing God belongs to God’s children. Knowing God matters more than anything else. People seek meaning and purpose in so many ways that fail to fulfill the purpose for which they were created. Without awareness of God’s unfailing love and constant presence, we are left with only fleeting pleasures as life passes swiftly by. Human love and relationships cannot deliver what only God can give. Our intrinsic worth and highest purpose can only be found in God Himself.

God knows everything about us. Nothing He knows about us limits His love for us. If we have trusted Christ for salvation, we can definitely experiencing a relationship with the Lord that fulfills our highest purpose in life. We have received Christ as Savior, we can quit seeking this world’s empty promises and simply enjoy the delight and security in Him. One day, all God’s children will shed the remnants of sin’s curse and thrive forever in a city — the New Jerusalem, which represents an indescribable city God has planned for us, His people, where we will flourish forever.
