Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

God’s purpose for people is more than a nebulous truth about faceless humanity. God uniquely created humanity in His image; He designed people for fellowship with Him — their creator. God designed each person to know Him personally. He desires to enjoy an intimate relationship and rich communication with each one. When sin marred Eden’s perfection and brought separation from God, He prepared a way to repair humanity’s tragic loss. God sent His own Son Jesus Christ to die on behalf of sinners.

Those who put their trust in Him begin to experience God’s highest purpose for their lives. And on a coming day, God will deliver His people to a place where sin no longer taints the beauty of His creation. God will restore what sin corrupted and allow His people to fully experience all they were created to be. God’s eternal city is balanced and full of splendor. No higher pursuit exists than knowing and worshipping God. For us the believers, the fellowship with God through Christ enjoyed in this life will only grow more amazing in eternity. Amen!
