Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.
The future often looms mysteriously before us like a shadowy path beyond the limits of our understanding. We cannot see around corners or know exactly what the years ahead hold. While God’s people await heaven’s glories, they experience inevitable trouble in this life. How can we frame our expectations for the future? God knows and controls every unknown aspect ahead of us. God’s purposeful power over the present and future gives His people hope.
God gave John a vision of the future that brings clarity to His people. Believers will inhabit the Lord’s city and dwell in a place of security, perfect balance, and eternal renewal. God’s resplendent glory will provide life and light as God’s children actively serve Him alone. John’s vision combines the flourishing peace of God’s original garden with the breathtaking splendor of His consummate city. This glorious future awaits the people who find salvation in Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. God’s people will live with Him in eternal glory.
