Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

In Revelation 21:5, God Himself says, “I am making everything new!” God will restore all of creation. He will make human bodies new and renew human thinking. He will make art, science, worship, and music new. He will make conversation, laughter, and affection new. He will make work new. We will have new insight into God and new love for Him. God’s people will have new understanding of one another, all in the magnificent light of His presence.

In Revelation 21:6, the Almighty God declares, “It is done.” His words leave nothing as conditional; no effort or struggle remains. At creation, God rested on the seventh day and announced all He had made was good. On the cross, Jesus triumphantly cried, “It is finished,” announcing He had atoned for sin. Now, at the line between time and eternity, God declares the plan for creation and redemption is fulfilled! God leaves nothing unfinished. What He begins, He will bring to completion. He says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega…. the Beginning and the End.”
