Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.
Praising God represents a powerful way to transform our thinking and reorder our affections. When we worship God, we proclaim the goodness of all His acts, great and small. When genuinely hard and grievous things in our life discourage us, God does not ask us to pretend that what is evil or sad is good. Instead, we can ask Him to help us develop an attitude of praise that focuses on Him more than our difficulties.
Let’s praise God so the truth of who He is will permeate our hearts and minds and worship Him for His greatness so we can find strength and peace to represent Him to others with truth and faithfulness. Let’s praise Jesus that He has reconciled us to God and made us His own. He will return to celebrate the purity and cleansing that He has given us and so we celebrate even more Jesus-His past faithfulness, His present presence and power in their lives, and His certain future victory.
