1 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God;

2 because His judgments are true and righteous; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her sexual immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His slaves shed by her hand.”

6 Then I heard something like the voice of a great crowd and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.

7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.”

11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sits on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.

13 and being clothed with a garment dipped in blood, His name is also called The Word of God.

19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war with Him who sits on the horse and with His army.

20 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who did the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.

21 And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sits on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

The picture depicted in Revelation 19 is truly amazing. We see a heavenly multitude praising God for His destruction of wicked Babylon and a great multitude rejoicing at the coming of the wedding of the Lamb The bride has made herself ready. After the chorus of praise, heaven opens, and the One “called Faithful and True” comes from heaven riding a white horse. Jesus returns as He had promised. The blood on His robe testifies that He gave His life to save all who trust in Him.

Crowned with power and accompanied by heavenly armies, Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, returns to redeem His people and judge His enemies. After the celebration of God’s divine justice, Jesus swiftly wages war against His foes. The kings and armies of the earth become a feast for birds of prey as they perish before the Lord and His heavenly host. The corrupt religious and political systems controlled by Satan and his emissaries do not last one moment longer than God permits. Amen!
