Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.

Believers’ salvation is eternal but let’s press on in our faith journey to the reward from the Lord when He returns. On this reward matter, Jesus set up a pattern for us. While Jesus was walking on earth, though Satan tried to tempted Him to worship Satan, attacked Him on all sides and eventually caused Him to be crucified, He overcame Satan by always dying to His self and living only for His Father and His Father’s will.

Today the world still lies under the power of the evil one Satan, but we are determined to follow Jesus’s footsteps. Though Satan is a defeated enemy, his relentless but futile desire to defeat God overflows into harsh persecution of God’s people. Christian life promises immense blessings, but also sacrifice, surrender, and even suffering. We know that Jesus died so we can live a redeemed and overcoming life and be with Him everyday in victory till forever. While Satan had no claim on Jesus, he has no claim on us either.
