…. in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
— Romans 8:37
4 because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
5 Who then overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.— 1 John 5:4-5
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
— Colossians 3:4
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.— Philippians 3:20-21
4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,
5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.— 1 Peter 1:4-5
Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.
One of the believers’ greatest blessings is, by faith in Christ, we are declared to have overcome the world. Christ is the ultimate overcomer and we are victorious with Him. The Bible tells us that in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. If it were possible to lose our salvation, this broad and emphatic statement would be unreasonable. We are born of God and our faith in Jesus, the Son of God, has deemed us to be victorious over this world.
God unequivocally declares that we will be revealed with Christ in eternity. He promised us when Christ, our life, shall appear and we also will appear with Him in glory. If we could lose our salvation, this promise would be empty. We are already citizens of heaven. Our heavenly citizenship endures forever. God has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His Beloved Son who will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body. Furthermore God has reserved in heaven for us an imperishable and undefiled inheritance and His power has fully protected us unto the eternal salvation.
