Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.

God promised to bodily resurrect every person who has come to Him in faith so a Christian cannot lose his or her salvation. Every believer will live with God forever. God will not fail on this promise. Jesus Christ assured us it is the will of His Father that everyone beholds Him and believes in Him will have eternal life and He Himself will raise the believers up on the last day to be always with Him. Jesus is the resurrection and the life, and His believers will live even if they die. Even though believers die physically, Christ promised that the believers will not face the second death in hell.

God promised that He will sustain us by His hand. Our steps are established by the LORD and He delights in our way. We will not be hurled headlong because He holds our hand. Even if we fall, we will never be forsaken or left helpless. This is grace, and grace is undeserved kindness. We are never worthy of God’s grace, not even on our best day. But we will be amazed that one day, the One who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us blamelessly in His own presence. Hallelujah for this amazing grace that our salvation is kept by our faithful God and not by us!
