Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and salvation from Christ to you.

Believers of Jesus cannot lose their eternal salvation. If we could lose our salvation, we would again become spiritually hungry and thirsty, but Christ promised that no one who believes in Him will ever thirst or hunger again. Whoever drinks of the water Jesus gives will never thirst again. Whoever comes to and believes in Jesus Christ, the true bread of life, will not hunger anymore. Jesus Christ promised to never drive away anyone who comes to Him in faith. If we have trusted in Christ, He will never cast us off or reject us.

We are fully blessed in Christ, apart from any personal merit. Jesus Christ has freely bestowed on us His grace. In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of His grace. We will never lose our salvation. If we could lose our salvation, we would perish, but Christ promised that no believer will ever perish or be stolen. God always keeps His promises. Jesus said, “…; and I give eternal life to My sheep and they will never perish.” No one, not even Satan can snatch us away from Christ’s protection. Christ protects us in His hand. God the Father protects us in His hand as well.
