Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

What does it mean to live in the Spirit according to Paul? It means embracing a life where we are no longer defined by sin or by the demands of the law, but by the love and grace of God. The Spirit changes everything and brings us a freedom that isn’t based on our performance, but on God‘s power through the Spirit. We experience a true transformation, one that goes beyond me, behavior, modification, and reaches into the core of our identity .

Imagine having a constant companion who knows you completely, who understands your deepest struggles and desires, and who is always working with you to bring you closer to God. This is the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit empowers us to live in victory over sin, to walk in obedience and to experience a deep, unshakable assurance that we are loved by God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves so that you live in fear again; rather the Spirit you received brings in your adoption to sonship.
