It is the Spirit giving life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.

— John 6:63

For the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

— John 3:34

12 I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.

13 However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.

— John 16:12-13

9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him”—

10 But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

— 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

The Holy Spirit isn’t just for Pentecost. He’s not just for preachers. He’s not just for emotional worship or theology books. He’s for you in the quiet moments, in the chaos, in the mundane, and in the middle of traffic jam. He is the power we need. He is the clarity we are seeking. He reveals and transforms the change we can’t force. He is the truth.

Being filled with the Spirit is not a one time thing. It’s a daily surrender, a daily yes, and a daily asking not because God is stingy, but because we leak, we pour out, we fight battle, we face resistance, we get tired. If we try to live this life without His power, we will burn out, we will fake strength and we will manufacture fruit, we will wear the label of Christian but feel like a shell inside. We would never meant to live like that. We were meant to live full of overflowing of life and led by the wind of God’s spirit, not the weight of this world.
