11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.

Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Christ to you.

The Holy Spirit cultivates the life of Jesus inside of us until we talk like Him, think like Him, walk like Him. And it’s not behavior modification. It’s hard renovation and it’s slow, but it’s sure if we stay surrendered. If we give Him access not just to our Sunday church time, but to our anxiety, our attitude, and our hidden corners, He will grow fruit, but not only changes us and He changes the people around us. If we walk into rooms differently, we will respond to offense differently. We will carry peace that shifts atmospheres.

The Spirit doesn’t just come to move through us; He comes to make His home within us and to anoint us. The question is, “Are we ready to live like Jesus not just through power?” The Holy Spirit will anoint us more from the inside out. His greatest miracle is transforming us through His anointing. He is not done yet. He didn’t vanish after the book of Acts. He didn’t retire after Jesus’s resurrection. The Holy Spirit is the very presence of God. And He is still here, still speaking, moving, comforting, guiding, convicting, empowering, teaching, transforming.
