3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, mercy and blessings from Christ to you.
For us believers of Jesus Christ, the truth about God’s judgment is bittersweet. God’s children long for eternal deliverance, the end of injustice, and God’s promised eternal kingdom. However, the judgment at the end of the age will also bring horrific suffering upon those who reject God. How should we respond? How do we both praise God for His coming justice and shudder at what awaits rebellious humanity? Everything God does is just and right. He does the right things the right way at the right time.
God’s infinite understanding surpasses our time-bound, earth-oriented perspective on everything. Praising God’s justice does not mean callously celebrating the peril awaiting God’s enemies. Instead, we believers learn to trust God with what only His perfect wisdom and unlimited power can achieve. And while we wait for that day, we share God’s heart and offer His message of salvation in Christ to others. Let’s be reminded that God’s words say, “ He desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.” Let’s share Christ’s good news to unbelievers that God wants all men to enjoy the free salvation and enter the eternal kingdom. God does not want anyone to go through the final severe judgment because of refusing Him.
