— John 11:25
14 Now since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil,

— Ephesians 2:12
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.— Philippians 3:20-21
Thoughts on Today’s Reading
Grace, salvation and joy from Jesus Christ to you.
Death represents humanity’s fiercest foe. People avoid thinking about their inevitable death and try every means possible to delay aging. However, no one escapes the moment when they draw their final breath and their life earth ends. Sin’s pervasive grip on humanity makes physical death unavoidable. Worse than that, without the salvation Christ provides, people remain spiritually dead with no hope of eternal life.
Jesus proclaimed that He is the resurrection and the life and whoever believes in Him, even if he should die, should live. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead provides an essential foundation for the Christian faith. Jesus died on the cross, paying sin’s price for all who put their faith in Him. When Jesus rose again, He sealed each believer’s victory over sin and death. Through Jesus’s resurrection power and the Holy Spirit’s life-giving presence, believers can live redeemed lives as God brings life to dead hearts. And one day, all believers will be resurrected in glorified bodies prepared for eternity. We praise the Lord Jesus! Because He lives, we will live also.
