Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Blessings to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus.

In Revelation 5 we see the praise from all creation as well. Joyous praise swells through heaven as a larger and larger circle joins in the songs of praise rising before the Lamb. Resounding worship expands from the four living creatures and the 24 elders, to heaven’s angels, to every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them. All creation joins the third song of praise offered to God the Father and the Lamb. This climatic celestial scene unites the creatures on earth with those in heaven in a glorious expression of truth about God.

God’s plan of redemption involves His creation. At creation, God declared everything He made very good. Today, all creation suffers because of human sin. Yet even now, in its brokenness, creation gives evidence of God’s glorious mind and awesome power.Psalm 19 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” God is intimately involved with His creation. Hallelujah! Creation speaks clearly of God’s presence and power that all people wrestle without excuse before their Maker and Ruler. Amen!
