Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and love from Jesus the Lord to you.

We are fully owned by God. God owns us because we were bought with a highest price that His Son paid. He will faithfully protect what belongs to Him. God’s will is that His Son will not lose any one that He has given to Him and God will raise up all that He has given to His Son on the last day. We, His children, are so precious to God. God’s words show that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in us, we have the Holy Spirit from God, we are not our own and we are to glorify God in our body.

We and our salvation are fully guarded by God. The apostle Paul told us that though he suffered a lot of things, he was not ashamed for he knew whom he has believed and was convinced that God was able to guard wha the has entrusted to Him until that day. We are convinced that God will guard our souls until death or the rapture.

We will never be forsaken. Christ promised He will never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 12:5-6 says, “For He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ’the Lord is my Helper, will not be afraid. What will man do to me?’” In order to lose our salvation, God would have to leave us and forsaken us. Since our Lord Jesus will never abandon us, we can rest in His loving protection.
