35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,

39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

— Romans 8:35, 37-39

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy

— Jude 1:24

Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

— Romans 14:4

for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

— Philippians 2:13

knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into His presence.

— 2 Corinthians 4:14

Thoughts on Today’s Reading

Grace, mercy and peace from Christ the Lord to you.

God’s Word is our greatest encouragement that assures our salvation. If we could lose our salvation, we would be removed from God’s love, but God promised that nothing can separate us from His love in Jesus Christ. Not even we, a created thing, will be able to separate ourselves from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. God’s power will not allow this. We are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation. God is able to keep us from stumbling, and to make us stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy.

Though there are times when we believers may become weak, overtaken by sins and transgressions, yet no one can judge us or accuse us. Paul asserted in Romans 14:4, “Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” It is God who is at work in us, both to will and to wok for His good pleasure. Although we may sometimes fall down, we will never “fall out” of salvation because God has promised to keep us from falling and present us before His throne in eternity. God has raised the Lord Jesus and He will raise us also with Jesus.
