He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of his power.
— Hebrews 1:3a
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16 For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
— Colossians 1:15-17
By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
— Psalm 33:6
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
— John 6:63
Thoughts on Today’s Reading
May all your days be enlightened by God’s words!
The entire world of universe is structured on the Word of God. It’s the whole system that we live in. Everything, space, gravity, light… all of this, the structure, is all held together by the Word of God. We truly can experience that the word in the Bible is the power, the life, the light, the love. It’s the solution to every one of our problems. It’s true that God’s word is supernatural. God’s Word is not just a book. God’s word looks like a book. If we treat it like a book, it will act like a book. God’s word is a Person and the Spirit. When we start to open our hearts when we read God’s Word, using our eyes, brains, hearts, speaking it out loud if we want to, we will see God’s word is the Spirit!
The Bible calls us the spirit beings. The Bible uses heart and spirit interchangeable. The heart of a man is the spirit of a person. When we open our hearts to read God’s word, to quote God’s word, and to deal with God’s holy word, it truly is a supernatural process and experience because it’s the time when our spirits and hearts are fully immersed and mingled with God’s Word. Amen!
