Peace and Joy from Christ to you!
Because of people’s misunderstanding and unbelief, they often ask Jesus for something “real”, touchable and physical while Jesus continues to reveal more about true personal fulfillment through relationship with Him. What Jesus offers us is Himself. To have Him is to have eternal life. Jesus, God’s gift, is before us. We need to open our eyes, our minds, and our hearts and receive Him.
When the crowd on the mountainside said to Jesus, “Sir, always give us this bread,” Jesus responded with the first of seven “I AM” statements included in John’s Gospel. He cut through their confusion with truth. Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty. He sustains believers in this life and seals them for eternity in His presence. Those who partake of the Bread of Life find eternal satisfaction for their spiritual hunger and thirst. Jesus delivers those who receive Him as Lord and Savior from sin, wasted lives and painful eternities.
