14 He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.”
— Titus 2:11-14
Thoughts on Today’s Reading
May the Lord Jesus’ faithfulness and grace keep you all your days.
Since we are God’s children, our great concern and frequent prayer should be for God to fulfill His plans for our life. How do we discover and fulfill God‘s plans for us? Let’s review what scripture has brought us.
First, we saw that God calls us to live with Him in the new heaven and new earth and to glorify and enjoy Him forever to display and express His grace and love. This requires that we embrace His grace and love through faith in Jesus Christ. Next, God calls us to respond to His grace with whole-hearted surrender and the pursuit of Chris. God loves to draw us closer to Him in prayer to keep us dependent on His word and the Holy Spirit to help us surrender to His will and to teach us about Himself and His ways.
