“And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers.
And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.”— Romans 8:28-30

Thoughts on Today’s Reading
God of the Bible is a God of purpose, and not just general purposes, but specific ones. We need to discover our purpose for our lives in the frame of God‘s purpose for our lives. Do we know and are we fulfilling God‘s purpose for our lives? In our chaotic and unsettling world, it is sometimes hard to understand how God‘s purposes are being worked out in our lives whatever our cases are in the midst of the confusion, fears, anxieties and distractions of this present world.
God is indeed working out His plans in our lives. We can’t work it up to God’s plan for us on our own through human optimism and positive thinking. Rather it is produced by the Holy Spirit, who works primarily, not exclusively, through holy scripture which He uses to enlighten our mind and kindle faith in our hearts. May we more readily discern and embrace God‘s purposes in the unique circumstances of our lives through being open to and obeying the Holy Spirit.
